In the singles industry image is a key element to any marketing strategy.  When I got into this business I knew it was full of fluffy looking image messages.  I knew that a matchmaker like me had room to flourish.  Why do you think I am here after 20 years?  I am here because my image and the image I created for Tri-State Dating Service is about truth, realism and relationship building.  So please understand that it isn’t about how things look it is about telling the truth to singles.  I have seen dating services that look good in their presentation.  There is one out there now that changed their name 3 times, they know how to look good, just check the consumer websites and see the huge amount of complaints about them.  Check their websites and what you see is the image of slickness.

Lately I was criticized for some mistakes made in written communications.  Some of those people feel this blog projects careless communication.  Let me make this abundantly clear.  If you feel that the provision of services as a matchmaker is predicated on the idea that the comma, period, sentence structure etc.… then go to an English teacher and ask them to match you with the future relationship you have been searching for.  It is like this, what if a fireman did a great job putting out the fire and made a mistake on the report he wrote about the fire.  Does that make the fireman less competent?  I don’t think so. The theory that as a matchmaker I could never pay attention to detail if I didn’t pick up on a typo when proofreading is absurd nonsense.
